About the project
Redefining Beauty is a project about femininity and the beauty/elegance of imperfection. It gives insights in social influences and desires and how they relate to women personally and illustrate what it does with them. Trying to raise awareness on how each individual should be able to make their own choices regarding these topics and have complete freedom.
The series adds up to my previous project, “Women Behind Emotions”, which was about self reflection and emotions.
I’m still looking for more female models who are willing to pose for the series (deadline is May, 2018). Also looking for artists who have experience with charcoal drawings and/or black & white oil paintings. Contact me for more information.
A pocket book will be made at the end of the project which will be available to the public. In the form of a 13x20cm dust wrap cover on 105 GSM uncoated paper.
